DMCA Takedown Notice.
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content hosted on our service infringes your copyright, please submit a formal takedown request below.
DMCA Copyright Policy
Scope of This Policy
This policy covers files uploaded to GetFileShare's Cloud Share storage — the only place we hold file content at rest. It does not, and cannot, cover Direct E2E transfers: those files travel directly between two browsers over WebRTC and are never stored on our servers, so there is nothing on our infrastructure to take down. If a direct transfer completes before a notice reaches us, removal is not technically possible.
Filing a Valid Takedown Notice
To be actionable, a notice must identify the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, the specific URL(s) hosted on this service that you claim are infringing, your contact information, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf, and a physical or electronic signature. The form below collects exactly these elements.
How We Respond
Once we receive a notice containing all of the elements above, we review it and, if valid, disable access to or remove the identified content from Cloud Share as promptly as we reasonably can. We make a good-faith effort to notify the uploader that their content was removed and why, using the account or session information available for that upload.
Counter-Notification
If you believe content you uploaded was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice via the contact page identifying the removed material, stating under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was in error, and consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts where you are located. We will forward it to the original complaining party. Absent notice that they have filed a legal action within a reasonable period, we may restore the content.
Repeat Infringers
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to GetFileShare for uploaders who are the subject of repeated, valid takedown notices.
