Temporary Hosting & Automated Purge Schedule
Files uploaded to GetFileShare cloud storage are hosted on a strictly temporary basis. Actual file payload contents are automatically and permanently deleted from cloud storage once their designated expiration interval or download threshold is reached. GetFileShare does not offer permanent cloud file storage or archival hosting.
Retention of Operational Metadata
Following the automated purge of file contents from cloud storage, non-content structural metadata (such as original file name, file extension, byte size, creation timestamp, and operational transfer metadata and event records) remains stored in our system database for the limited periods set out in our Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted. This metadata is retained for system rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and service accounting, and carries no direct content data of your files.
Acceptable Use & Compliance
You agree not to use GetFileShare to transmit, upload, or distribute malware, illegal materials, copyrighted content without authorization, or content violating local laws. Automated crawlers, scraping scripts, and spamming mechanisms are strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
GetFileShare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for files shared between users, transmission interruptions, unexpected data loss, or damages arising from service usage.
Ownership & License to Use the Service
You retain full ownership of any files you upload or transmit through GetFileShare. By using the service, you grant us only a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, and process those files for the purpose of providing the transfer or hosting you requested. We claim no ownership over your content. We never use your files, file metadata, IP address, or other account data to train machine learning or AI models, for advertising or profiling purposes, or share them with third-party analytics providers beyond the optional, consent-based site analytics described in our Privacy Policy — see it for the full data protection commitment.
Service Availability
GetFileShare is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, abuse mitigation, or technical issues.
Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or block access for any user or transfer we reasonably believe violates these terms, without prior notice, in order to protect the service and other users.
